Within the interior design industry, the saying “change is certain and beautiful” is certainly applicable, but is to life too.
In life, season come and season go, and in this blog post we would like to honour the founder of Rosalinda Design – Linda Van Vuuren in her season of transition as she hands over to her daughter, Katinka Kruger.
A much loved interior designer, Linda has left a mark within her community and surrounds by bringing concepts such as rhythm, harmony and beauty into her clients’ lives.
Known for striving to working within each clients unique story, her passion was to show each client how to bring the best out of what they owned while incorporating the new.
People change and grow and so it is reflected in their environments. A new house, and new business or just a new season in life. Sometimes the change insides asks for a change on the outside.
Linda taught us to not look at the obvious, but think outside of the box. It may look like an array of multicolour fabric that would never work together, but with her designers eye she inspired clients into transforming their spaces into engaging, soothing and comfortable spaces.
“For me colour is the most important in interior design. Multicoloured, checkered or florals can all work together, as long as there is a colour that repeats and binds the patterns together”; she said in an article in Beeld and 1999.
